Vintage Jingdezhen Rice Grain Serving Bowls, Blue White Porcelain Chrysanthemum
Vintage pair of Chinese blue and white "rice grain" (Linglong) porcelain serving bowls. Crafted in the world-renowned kilns of Jingdezhen, China, this set dates back to the mid-to-late 20th century (circa 1970s–1980s).
The signature "rice grain" technique features semi-translucent cutouts around the walls that are filled with clear glaze before firing, creating a beautiful glowing effect when held to the light. The interior centers are hand-painted with a classic cobalt underglaze chrysanthemum flower basket medallion, framed by traditional diaper borders.
These are rare, larger serving sizes—perfect for ramen, pho, family-style rice, or side dishes. The bases are clearly stamped with the factory export mark: "中国景德镇" (China Jingdezhen) and "MADE IN CHINA."
